Tanner receives MBA Hampshire County Community Service Award
The Hampshire County Bar Association nominated Tanner, a trial
attorney at Bacon Wilson PC in Northampton, for the award. He
served as the HBCA president from 2006 to 2007 and served on the
Executive Committee from 2004 to 2009. Tanner has also been active
in the MBA for years.
Tanner, a captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, is on the Board of
Directors of the People's Institute of Northampton, which provides
educational, recreational and social services to the
community. He also sits on the Executive Committee of Community
Involved in Sustaining Agriculture Inc., a non-profit dedicated to
sustaining agriculture in Western Massachusetts; and is a member of
the Florence Civic and Business Association.
A volunteer at the Hampshire county United Way, Tanner coaches
youth soccer for both the Northampton Parks and Recreations
Department and the Northampton Soccer Club. He previously donated
his time to Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
A four-time recipient of the SuperLawyers Rising Star Award from
Boston magazine, Tanner is a member of the Association of
Trial Lawyers in America and of both the Hampshire and Hampden Bar
Advocates Inc.
