MBA co-sponsors program: IMLA Land Use Seminar
The MBA is proud to co-sponsor this informative, timely and important
seminar on topics that affect the present and future development patterns and
financial well being of local governments.
This two-day land use seminar focuses on the legal framework and issues associated with the manner in which communities will experience and handle growth and environmental concerns in the coming years.
Day One (Thursday, June 21) includes sessions on legal, policy and land use planning issues encompassed under the term "Sustainable Development," with panels on legal authority, exactions and takings, storm water management, the built environment, open space and agriculture.
Day Two (Friday, June 22)
addresses issues from the perspective of proper and effective means to
accommodate development and address the needs created by new developments. June
22 includes a 1.0 credit hour ethics and professional responsibility
session.
