Dial-A-Lawyer Program is an unprecedented success in its 12th year
Calls hit all-time high of 536
The MBA’s fall Western Mass. Dial-A-Lawyer program, held Oct. 9 in Springfield, was an unqualified success−breaking phone records from 2006 by over 100 calls. The semi-annual program provided individuals from Western Mass. with an opportunity to receive free legal advice, via phone, from volunteer lawyers as a public service of the MBA.
Thirty-four lawyers took phone calls for four hours, answering a wide range of legal questions concerning family law, real estate, personal injury and employment disputes. This year’s program received 536 calls, up from 401 calls in 2006.
Next year’s Dial-A-Lawyer programs will be on May 21, 2008 and Oct. 22, 2008.
The MBA wishes to thank all lawyers who volunteered their valuable time.
