The next
DAL is Wednesday, May 16 for Western Mass. residents, from 3:30 to
7:30 p.m. The DAL phone number is (413) 782-1659.
If a caller gets a busy signal, they are asked to hang up and try
again. Normal telephone charges will apply.
On the first Wednesday of each month, attorneys gather at the
MBA's Boston headquarters from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to provide
free, basic legal information by telephone. Additionally,
twice a year the program is offered specifically to the general
public in Western Mass.
"There should be public funding for people who cannot afford to
hire an attorney. But because that support is not there, statewide
or nationally, the MBA's Dial-A-Lawyer program is a necessity."
