MUPC Resource Center

Welcome to the Massachusetts Bar Association's Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code ("MUPC") Resource Center. After nearly two decades of debate, the MUPC took effect on March 31, 2012.

This resource center will provide practitioners with the tools and resources needed to gain in-depth knowledge about MUPC overhauls and new court probate forms. Consider participating in the two upcoming programs listed below to keep abreast of the changes recently brought forth by MUPC.

  • Conveying Real Estate under the MUPC, April 19, 5-7 p.m., MBA, 20 West St. Click here to register.
  • MUPC Basics, April 27, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Massachusetts School of Law, Andover. Click here to register.

MUPC substantially impacts the practice of estate administration, increasing uniformity with other states, adding protections for those under guardianship and the beneficiaries of trusts, easing the administration of probate matters for judges and court personnel and reducing delays for citizens.

The MBA is committed to helping you be prepared for this momentous change in how probate law is practiced in the state of Massachusetts.
