LPM Tip

Not just a passing FAD: E-mail alerts make it hard to forget attachments
You probably do it regularly, too: Send an e-mail without
including the attachment you promised. It happens to
everyone. It's obnoxious.
But, if a virtual tap on the shoulder is all you're looking for,
to remind you when you've forgotten to include an attachment on an
e-mail . . . well, you're in luck: Forgotten attachment detectors
are addable or available within the two most popular e-mail
systems.
Microsoft Office Labs is promoting this forgotten attachment detector, as an
add-on to Outlook that will alert you when you have
neglected making an attachment.
GMail's forgotten attachment detector graduated from
GMail Labs to become a standard feature. Don't
believe me? Type "Please see attachment" into a GMail message, and
watch what happens when you try to send it.
