Each year, more than 20,000 people contact the Massachusetts Bar
Association's Lawyer Referral Service looking for a lawyer. The
MBA's skilled staff will refer new clients directly to your
office.
Joining the LRS is a sound choice for MBA members. Your
membership with LRS not only helps the public, it also offers you
the opportunity to expand your client base. We
invite you to invest in your professional future by joining this
public service.
As an MBA member, you can participate in this program by
completing a separate application form which can be sent to you
upon request. Additionally, in order to join the LRS
program you must be in good standing with the Board of Bar
Overseers and provide proof of insurance, by forwarding a
Certificate of Insurance from your current professional liability
insurance carrier. The cost of joining LRS is either $100 or $150,
depending on how long you have been admitted to practice.
This summer and fall, look for NEW MBA LRS advertising:
- Posters and billboards on MBTA buses, trains and
platforms;
- Radio campaigns on WBZ News Radio 1030;
- Online advertising campaigns;
- Search engine advertising; and
- Flyers and posters in public buildings, including courts and
city halls.
