MBA Lawyers Eco-Challenge takes next steps
Incorporate the weekly eco-tip into your office practices and become more environmentally friendly.
The unveiling of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Lawyers Environmental Pledge on Jan. 8 has led to outreach, which includes participation in this weekend’s Going Green Expo at the Bayside Expo Center, Boston.
MBA President David W. White Jr. will speak for nearly an hour on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the convention. White will talk about being an environmentally friendly lawyer and discuss the MBA Green Guidelines, which offer detailed suggestions for making offices green.
In addition, the MBA’s Energy and Environment Task Force will be on hand at the expo from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3. Task force members will show visitors the resources available on the Eco-Challenge Web site, answer questions and distribute copies of the guidelines. For more information, click here.
The pledge and guidelines are a part of the MBA Lawyers Eco-Challenge launched in September. The initiative is being presently in partnership with the Conservation Law Foundation in Boston.
By signing the pledge, lawyers become Pledge Partners and agree to adhere to the guidelines. To view the pledge, guidelines, resources and tips, click here. Weekly tips related to the guidelines are also being published in each edition of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly on the Practice Page.
