Massachusetts chosen as first destination for taking ABA TECHSHOW on the road
ABA TECHSHOW will visit the MBA Boston office on Feb. 11
The Massachusetts Bar Association is pleased to sponsor a local version of the wildly successful ABA TECHSHOW. The MBA and the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association are linking arms to sponsor ABA TECHSHOW Road Show at the MBA Boston office on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
“We are honored to take ABA TECHSHOW on the road for the first time and bring its beneficial programming to the attorneys of Massachusetts,” Adriana Linares, chair of the ABA Law Practice Management Section's Technology Core Group, who is leading the event’s coordination.
Like the annual ABA TECHSHOW held in Chicago which serves a national audience of attorneys (ABA TECHSHOW 2009 will be held April 2-4), “the Feb. 11 show in Boston will offer the latest and greatest in technology information for attorneys in the commonwealth,” said MBA Law Practice Management Co-Chair Alan J. Klevan, who along with Co-Chair Rodney Dowell, has been integral in shaping and preparing for the event. Klevan, Dowell and national presenters selected by the ABA will lead the 10 different educational programs featured at the show. Those include:
-
The Mobile Office: Take Your Desktop in Your Pocket
-
Shock and Awe: PowerPoint for Opening Statements and Closing Arguments
-
60 Law Practice Management Tips in 60 Minutes
-

-

-

The full-day program will begin with a 9 a.m. registration period, followed by simultaneous 45-minute educational programs running from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost to attend is $89 and pre-registration is required as space is limited. All program registrants will receive program materials and a free lunch.
