Probate and Family Court announces changes
The Probate and Family Court announces changes to the
Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of Appellate
Procedure, Trial Court Rules, Rules of the Superior Court, and the
General Rules of the Probate Court. In addition, the Probate and
Family Court announces changes to the Uniform Practices of Probate
Courts of Massachusetts, as well as changes and additions to the
standing orders of the Probate and Family Court.
These changes were recommended by the MUPC Implementation
Committee's Article V Working Group, circulated for comment,
approved by Chief Justice Paula M. Carey, and were recently
approved and promulgated by the Supreme Judicial Court and Chief
Justice for Administration and Management Robert A. Mulligan. The
changes are effective July 1, 2009.
