Excellence in the Law event honors the profession’s finest
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and the MBA will salute a
star-studded roster of lawyers and judges at the Excellence in the
Law celebration at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Thursday,
May 20, beginning at 5:30 p.m. For ticket information, click here. Honorees with include the
Excellence in Legal Journalism Award, Daniel Toomey Excellence
Judiciary Award, Up & Coming Lawyers and Diversity Heroes.
Nominations are now being accepted for Lawscar awards
in the following categories, until March 15:
- Law Professor of the Year: Nominate an
educator who has inspired, challenged and otherwise exhibited
excellence in academia
- Court Clerk of the Year: Nominate a clerk who
goes above and beyond the call of duty in terms of professionalism,
service and integrity
- Court Officer of the Year: Nominate a court
officer who has demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to
his/her profession
- Rainmaker of the Year: Nominate an attorney
who best demonstrates the savvy, skills and service that brings in
big business for his/her firm
- Best Dressed Lawyer of the Year: A lawyer
whose personal style stands out and makes you take notice. Whether
it be a unique style or always dressed to impressed
- Senior Attorney of the Year: Nominate an
attorney with 40+ years of service who has demonstrated outstanding
leadership, commitment and achievement
- Law Firm of the Year: Tell us why this firm
should be nominated as Law Firm of the Year. Factors may include
business innovation, success stories, quality of life at the firm,
pro bono efforts and community work.
- Best Restaurant for Power Lunch: What &
where is that restaurant that can always be counted on for
outstanding food, reasonable prices and a plethora of legal
camaraderie?
- Best Restaurant for Client Dinner: What &
where is that restaurant that can always be counted on for
outstanding food, reasonable prices and a plethora of legal
camaraderie?
