Identity, credit thief targets Mass. attorneys

U.S. Marshalls continue to seek assistance from the Massachusetts legal community in their ongoing investigation of a subject who may be targeting local lawyers.
Marshalls are searching for a fugitive who is suspected of identity theft, bank fraud and credit card fraud nationwide. This suspect may have victimized at least two Bay State lawyers.
Attorneys are being asked to watch for and report any unusual or unknown credit queries or charges on their credit or bank accounts. Such activity could indicate that someone is trying to build a temporary identity or is attempting to get cash advances or make withdrawals from accounts.
Anyone with information, or anyone who suspects he or she might have been targeted by this fugitive, is asked to contact Deputy Paul Sugrue of the U. S. Marshall's Fugitive Unit at (617) 748-2568.
