The Massachusetts Bar Association highlights members who, as bar leaders, have and continue to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the association and the legal profession. By making an extra financial contribution to the MBA, these members set an example for others and make the association a more effective voice for the bar. Their generous contributions sustain the bar and all of the valuable efforts the association makes on members' behalf.
The MBA thanks sustaining member Janet Hetherwick Pumphrey by publicly recognizing her efforts.

Why did you become a Sustaining Member?
"I became a sustaining member of the MBA to lend additional support to an organization that is vitally important to the bar. As editor-in-chief of the Massachusetts Law Review, I have the opportunity of serving our profession by helping to publish the quarterly journal for MBA members. The Law Review editorial board strives to serve the goal of enhancing the educational and professional development of the bar while maintaining the academic standards that MBA members have come to expect from the first and oldest state bar journal in the country."
