Tanzanian Schools found a friend in Johnston

When attorney Richard A. Johnston, a partner at Hale and Dorr, traveled with his sixth-grade daughter Sarah's school to the United Republic of Tanzania, Africa, five years ago, he didn't realize he'd soon be signing on for a much bigger commitment.

Van Nostrand nominated president-elect

Richard C. Van Nostrand, a trial attorney with Mirick, O'Connell, DeMallie & Lougee in Worcester, has been nominated as Massachusetts Bar Association president-elect for the 2002-2003 association year. Van Nostrand would become MBA president in September 2003.
