News about Massachusetts Bar Association members. Compiled by Martha Sullivan Michael K. Gillis, a partner at Gillis & Bikosfsky, has been named president of the Massachusetts Academy of Trail Attorneys. MATA is the state’s largest bar association specifically for trial attorneys and is the state affiliate for the Association of Trial Attorneys of America. Gillis resides in Westwood with his wife and two daughters.
Alan S. Novick, founder of Novick Law Offices, has been appointed co-chairman of the American Bar Association Probate and Trust Division Program “G-2 Estate Planning for Individuals with Multi-State Property or Contracts” for the 2002-2003 bar year.
Bonnie L. Lodel, has joined Cape Cod Bank and Trust as a senior trust officer and private banker in the personal financial services group. Loedel resides in Harwich.
Bromberg & Sunstein, Boston, has announced that Robert L. Kann has been named managing partner of the firm. Bromberg & Sunstein is an intellectual-property law firm based in Boston.
