Community Service Award given
to Hampden County task force
The Massachusetts Bar Association's
Community Service Award was presented to the Hampden County Bar
Association's Foreclosure Task Force on June 18. MBA Regional
Delegate Mary Jo Kennedy presented the award to attorneys and HCBA
Foreclosure Task Force representatives Eugene B. Berman and Justin
H. Dion at the Hampden County Bar Association's Annual Dinner,
which was held at the Springfield Sheraton.
Barnstable Bar family law
Family law practitioners from
Barnstable and Plymouth counties gathered at the Barnstable
District Court on June 4 for a panel discussion entitled, "The
Ethical Knots Encountered in Family Law Litigation and Mediation
and How to Unravel Them."
Hosted by the Family Law Committee
of the Barnstable Bar Association, the seminar featured a
wide-ranging discussion between attorneys Mark I. Berson and
Michael Fredrickson on the myriad of ethical issues that arise
regularly in family law cases.
Berson, a private practitioner in
Greenfield, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial
Lawyers, a former member of the Board of Bar Overseers and a former
chair of the Clients' Security Board. Fredrickson is the general
counsel to the Board of Bar Overseers and counsel to the Clients'
