Join us for the launch of a three-part program series covering the essentials of successful mediations and arbitrations. Panelists will be distinguished mediators and/or arbitrators who will bring their experience and wisdom to help practitioners succeed.

This first session will focus on lawyer-to-lawyer negotiation and the use of mediation before, or instead of, litigation or arbitration.

With robust negotiation and mediation preparation and the right focus and mindset, valuable opportunities exist to resolve disputes early, with or without the help of a neutral, before any adversarial process is initiated by any of the parties -- a result much appreciated by current and future clients.

Special attention will be given to:

  • How to prepare
  • How to assess when the assistance of a neutral will be helpful
  • How to effectively use a mediator in a pre-litigation setting
