This program will focus on the defense of Children Requiring Assistance (CRA) cases in the Juvenile Court.

In 2012, the Legislature overhauled the Child in Need of Services (CHINS) statute to create the CRA statute. We will focus on how counsel for the child can protect the due process rights and achieve the goals of their clients.

The program will feature instruction on model motions and pleadings, as well as a discussion of how to appeal CRA cases.

This program is approved for 3 CAFL credits.
