This program will focus on the federal and state tax aspects of (i) personal injury (including emotional distress), business (interference with contractual relations), and employment damage awards (including lost wages and discrimination); and (ii) settlement agreements with respect to claims for damages described in the first section.

The program will include not only a technical analysis of the applicable tax rules, but also the litigator's, employment lawyer's and negotiator's perspective of the impact of these rules on settlement talks.

This webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, to participate in this program. After you register with the MBA, please look for an email from MassBar Education with the Webinar ID and Password. The email will be sent after 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.
