Join us for the second program in a monthly brown bag/roundtable series addressing the new reality of online dispute resolution. The panel, composed of an experienced dispute resolution professional and experienced attorneys, will discuss the pros and cons of online dispute resolution in real estate matters. Real estate disputes can benefit enormously from mediation or arbitration. Dispute resolution options are especially important during the pandemic, allowing parties to resolve their issues in a timely manner when courthouses may be closed.

This panel will discuss the benefits of dispute resolution for purchase-and-sale agreements that have gone sideways, including whether purchase-and-sale agreements can be salvaged or should be terminated.

Panelists will also talk about the benefits of dispute resolution when clients inherit property and address the many factors to consider when deciding if, and when, to sell. These factors only increase when property is inherited by more than one party, and mediation and arbitration can help avoid petitions to partition.

Dispute resolution can also be effective for addressing issues related to condo management, particularly for small condo associations, whether or not they have professional management. This panel will discuss the benefits of dispute resolution for trustee appointments, budgets, repairs, special assessments, delinquent payments, unauthorized pets and smoking.

This session was hosted using Zoom.
