In this program, experienced trial lawyers and a testifying mechanical
engineer will discuss some of the difficulties that trial lawyers face when
dealing with experts, and how to get the most value from them.
Attendees will learn how to choose the right experts, including how to make
sure their experts have the right information before forming their opinions and
whether or not their experts should prepare a signed report under Superior Court
Rule 30B. The discussion will also feature tips on preventing communications
with experts from production in discovery, obtaining records to show bias or to
otherwise attack the credibility of opposing experts, and determining whether an
expert may testify on the ultimate issue. Panelists will also discuss why
experts fear Daubert challenges, why redirect can be the most
stressful part of trial testimony for experts, and how lawyers may work with
experts to overcome those issues.
The live webcast will give attendees the
opportunity to ask questions of panelists and hear their thoughts on various
issues relating to experts. This webinar is a must for any lawyer who deals with
experts.
