Sponsored by the MBA's Dispute Resolution
Section and the Trial Court Standing Committee on Dispute
Resolution
Join the Massachusetts Bar Association's Dispute Resolution (DR) Section as
we kick off Conflict Resolution Week by honoring and acknowledging the work
of mediation providers who provided free pre-court mediation services for
landlords and tenants for COVID-19-related lease disputes, in addition to handling summary
process cases that were filed in the courts and referred to mediation.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about
the Eviction Diversion Initiative, which is sponsored by the Department of Housing and
Community Development and administered by the Massachusetts Office of Public Collaboration to
prevent homelessness by keeping tenants stably housed and landlords from
mortgage foreclosures. You’ll also hear about the work of the Housing Court
Department to provide mediation services in eviction cases during the
pandemic.
