The Massachusetts
Bar Association's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Lawyer Well-Being Committees have
joined forces with the Trial Court to host a program on “Combating Incidents
of Bias in the Workplace and Courtroom.” During this program, a set of dynamic
panelists will discuss active steps the Trial Court has taken to address bias,
offer methods for responding to and reporting incidents of bias that are
personally experienced or observed in the courtroom, and explain how such
steps can be taken in the workplace.
Panelists provided their insights into:
- How attorneys can report and respond to incidents of
bias that are personally experienced or observed in the courtroom.
- How firms, agencies and other practices can better
identify and combat incidents of bias in the workplace.
- How to effectively impact and encourage diversity,
equity and inclusion in the Massachusetts legal community.
