And the Effect of Incivility on Attorney Wellness

The July 2019 Report to the Justices by the Supreme Judicial Court Steering Committee on Lawyer Well-Being proposed numerous ways to increase attorney wellness, efficiency and quality of life. The report cited the deteriorating quality of interactions in court settings between attorneys, judges, witnesses and court personnel as a key contributor to the state of attorney well-being.

This program will feature judges from each Trial Court department, as well as attorneys practicing before these courts. Each program will be moderated by a leading trial attorney and will give panelists the opportunity to offer their perspectives on a variety of issues involving courtroom behavior that impact lawyer wellness.

Topics covered included:

  • Lawyer bullying
  • The role of judges in preventing incivility
  • Tips for improving civility in contested litigation

This webinar was hosted using Zoom.
