Please join members of the Massachusetts Bar Association's Civil Rights &
Social Justice Section, Juvenile & Child Welfare Section, Criminal Justice Section and Diversity,
Equity, and Inclusion Committee as they discuss the history and current efforts of the
recently created Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Commission.
The POST Commission is charged with devising a mandatory certification
process for police officers, as well as processes for decertification,
suspension of certification, or reprimand in instances of police misconduct.
This webinar is an opportunity to hear from the POST commissioners themselves
about the background of the commission, their work to date and issues concerning
the certification process.
This webinar was hosted using Zoom.
