Part 2: Replacing "Punishment" with "Repair"

The Massachusetts Bar Association's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) continues its robust discussion on restorative justice. Join us for Part 2 as we discuss the efforts that are happening within the trial courts on the state and federal level, schools, workplaces, and programs. At its core, restorative justice defines and re-imagines the definition of “justice,” substituting “punishment” with “repair.” To better understand this shift, the MBA invites you to participate in Part 2 of this series.

Program takeaways include:

  • Strategies and methods to successfully advocate for alternative dispositions using restorative justice
  • The relevance of restorative justice to minimizing racial disparities in the criminal justice system
  • An update on pilot restorative justice programs within the Federal and Superior Court

This webinar was hosted using Zoom.

This program is open and free to all members of the legal community.
