The Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Rights & Social Justice Section
is proud to present this program on election protection in Massachusetts. This
program will focus on why election protection is important given the
commonwealth’s progressive reputation and provide guidance on the following
topics:
- Common problems that voters face in Massachusetts and
in other states
- The disparate impact of voter-suppression tactics and
issues on people of color
- Current election administration in Massachusetts and
potential improvements
- Common hurdles for Massachusetts voters
- The importance of cultivating relationships with
state and local election officials and their important roles on election
day
- How election protection impacts state and local government
officials
The panelists will also highlight how and why MBA members should get involved
in election protection and the vital nature of citizen engagement in society.

This program will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required
by noon on Wednesday June 26, to participate in this program. An email from
