The Senate today passed the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction
and Enforcement Act. Senate Bill No. 2392, a revised version of
Senate Bill No. 746, was filed by Sen. Cynthia S. Creem (D-Newton)
and sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Uniform
Law Commission, and would bring child custody jurisdiction in
Massachusetts into conformity with the other 49 states.
