Panelists will address key issues and best practices for representing non-citizens in the criminal justice system, including but not limited to:

  • How to identify immigration pitfalls and advocate for resolutions that keep families together, both in pre- and post-conviction settings.

  • Practical tips and insight from a leading trial court justice on effective advocacy for prosecutors and defense counsel on post-conviction matters and other issues unique to non-citizens involved in criminal courts as defendants, victims and witnesses.
