Registration is now open for the 26th Annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid, which will take place at the State House in Boston on Thursday, Jan. 23, beginning at 11 a.m. The event will bring together hundreds of attorneys and other advocates to support increased state investment in the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC), the largest source of funding for legal aid organizations in the commonwealth.
The Massachusetts Bar Association is once again proud to sponsor the event alongside its partners in the Equal Justice Coalition: the Boston Bar Association and MLAC. MBA President Victoria M. Santoro will join several speakers in calling on the legislature to fund MLAC's budget request for fiscal year 2026 and thereby expand civil legal services for people with low incomes.
