Recent Amendments to Rules 9A and 9C: Motion Practice Dos and Don'ts

The Massachusetts Bar Association’s Judicial Administration Section, along with the Worcester County Bar Association's Civil Litigation Section, is very pleased to bring back its “View from the Bench” program series to Worcester.

View from the Bench programs provide valuable insights for new attorneys and seasoned litigators, allowing for an opportunity to pose questions to a judicial panel in a comfortable and confidential environment.

Worcester County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section Co-Chairs Jared Fiore and Courtney Mayo will moderate a panel with three Superior Court judges, who will discuss recent amendments to Superior Court Rule 9A (civil motions), Rule 9C (conferral obligations) and Rule 9D (motions for reconsideration), as well as a new pilot program under Superior Court Standing Order 1-88F.

Space is limited. We strongly recommended attendees register in advance.

Members of the Worcester County Bar Association, who are not MBA members, may attend the program for free. You must pre-register by contacting the Massachusetts Bar Association Member Services Center at (617) 338-0530.
