The Massachusetts Bar Association's Development and Construction Law Practice Group is excited to present this in-person program at the Massachusetts Bar Association in Boston. This program will present an overview of the unique legal issues and challenges associated with offshore wind energy development and construction. These include upfront permitting, environmental and regulatory issues; public and private opposition (including the "NIMBY" factor); project financing (and "financeability"); use of evolving technologies; unique contracting approaches and project delivery methods; technical and logistical complexity; resource scarcity; and construction and coordination risks that make these mega-projects technically, commercially and legally challenging.

This panel will identify and discuss these challenges and how project teams are addressing such challenges through advance planning, contracting, risk allocation and proactive dispute avoidance techniques.

Please join us for a networking reception following the program.

Registration is required by noon on Wednesday, May 29, to participate in this program.
