Join us for an insightful program that will provide a timely update on the evolving employability factors in disability adjudication. Since the introduction of O*Net as a replacement for the “Dictionary of Occupational Titles,” significant changes have occurred in this area of legal practice.

This session will explore the implications of this transition to a more dynamic collection of occupation-related data and its broad impact on various legal fields that rely on vocational information, including workers’ compensation, long-term disability (LTD), personal injury (PI) and state employee retirement cases.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Amy Vercillo, a renowned vocational expert who regularly consults with courts across the commonwealth, particularly within Social Security’s Office of Hearing Operations. As a professor at UMass Boston and a specialist in her field, Dr. Vercillo will guide us through the proposed changes to how Social Security analyzes job information and their potential effects on adjudication processes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of these critical developments in disability law.

This program  was  offered both in person and as a webinar hosted using Zoom.
