COVID-19 Update: DOC Reinstating In-Person Attorney Visits at the Massachusetts Treatment Center

Effective Thursday, June 18, 2020, the Department of Correction (DOC) is reinstating in-person attorney visits at the Massachusetts Treatment Center (MTC).

Attorneys will be permitted to visit inmates upon one-hour notice between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:30 P.M. Attorneys should call the MTC at (508) 279-8100 to schedule visits.

All attorneys are subject to the same screening process as facility staff. All attorneys and inmates are required to wear masks during the visits. Attorneys must provide their own masks.

As an additional precaution, hand sanitizer will be made available in the MTC’s lobby.
