On April 17, the Supreme Judicial Court agreed with the
Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Medical Society
when it affirmed a $63 million Children's Motrin verdict in a case

receiving multiple doses of the over-the-counter painkiller. The
SJC found that Johnson & Johnson's warning claim is not
preempted and that the awards for the victim and her parents were
not excessive.
