Enter a raffle to win 'Hamilton' tickets by 5 p.m. tonight (Sept. 27)

Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018

Logo_305x225"Hamilton" is in Boston! And the Massachusetts Bar Association has a special opportunity for you to see the show on Oct. 12, at 8 p.m.

We are offering our members a way to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime event while helping a great cause for people in real need of legal assistance.

The MBA -- together with the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys -- is holding a fundraiser to help the Puerto Rican victims of last fall's Hurricane Maria. When you purchase raffle tickets or orchestra tickets for the Oct. 12 performance, or donate to this charitable event, all net proceeds will be donated to Puerto Ricans who have relocated to Massachusetts, or those who need legal assistance and remain in Puerto Rico.

There are four ways to contribute to this fundraiser:

  • Purchase a raffle ticket. Buy a raffle ticket ($50 each) for a chance to win two orchestra tickets to the Oct. 12 show. Each raffle ticket purchase will entitle you to one entry in the raffle. Raffle tickets must be purchased by Sept. 27, at 5 p.m., to be eligible. The drawing will take place on Sept. 28 and three winners will be chosen.
  • Purchase orchestra tickets. Click here to buy orchestra tickets. Tickets are $1,500 each and are available on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of two tickets per person.
  • Participate in an auction. Click here to bid to win two orchestra tickets to the Oct. 12 show.
  • Donate. If you would like to make a contribution to help the hurricane victims, click here to make a donation. Look for the green donate button.

The program for this special event includes a pre-show cocktail reception with a personalized video welcome to our group from Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show’s creator and original star. His father, Luis Miranda, will talk to our group and engage in a Q&A session during the pre-show private function. Lin-Manuel has authorized the playing of a video recording of a duet he did with the star of "Dear Evan Hansen." It will be an excellent event for a great cause and a night that will long be remembered by all.

Don't throw away your shot! Be in the room where it happens! See you at the show!
