October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and while breast cancer diagnoses happen year round, it is a great reminder that regular screenings (such as mammograms) are the best tools we have for the early detection and treatment of cancer. Also, even though women are statistically more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer (about 1 in 8), men can also be diagnosed, with over 2,700 new cases predicted this year.
