Additional copies of the Massachusetts Bar Association's 2023 Elder Law Education Guide (ELG) are now available for purchase using the online order form here. Purchasing options include single copies, five copies, 10 copies, 20 copies, and more than 20 copies upon request.

Now in its 14th year of publication, the ELG offers information on a wide range of legal issues affecting the lives of older adults. The ELG was produced by the MBA's Elder Law Advisory Committee with the generous assistance and continued collaboration of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

The new edition contains major revisions to Chapter 1, "Important Questions and Answers for Older Adults,” which serves as a summary of the chapters. It also includes an updated and expanded Chapter 16 on retirement planning, along with modifications to other chapters so that homesteads and life estate deeds are more easily found and explained. Rounding out this year's guide are two new chapters covering pension concerns for retirees as well as end-of-life decision-making, medical orders for life-sustaining treatment, health care proxies and living wills.
