Three available positions on the Board of Bar Overseers

The justices of the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) invite interested attorneys to apply for appointment to three available four-year terms on the Board of Bar Overseers (BBO).

The BBO adjudicates disciplinary charges brought by the Office of Bar Counsel. The BBO's activities are governed by SJC  Rule 4:01 and the Rules of the BBO.

Applicants should be members of the Massachusetts bar in good standing. Attorneys with experience in small or larger law firms are specifically encouraged to apply. The justices also encourage attorneys with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.

Interested applicants should send a cover letter addressing their interest in serving on the BBO and a resume to Anna Rachel Dray-Siegel at by May 1. Questions about the application process or the position should be directed to Dray-Siegel.
