Legal-tech updates give critical tips

Issue January 2003

"Staying Relevant: The Internet and the Practice of Law" will explore current technologies' impact on the law, while "Ethics of Securing Client Data" will help lawyers be prepared to deal with the threat of computer hackers stealing client information.

Toby Brown, vice president of business development/sales for CaseData Corp, will present the programs. A technology consultant for several New England bars, Brown previously directed the CLE, IT and Access to Justice departments for the Utah State Bar.

The updates will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Admission is included in the full-conference fee. A $75 registration fee is offered for anyone who wishes to attend just the legal-tech update sessions.

All participants are invited to join the Annual Conference 2003 Welcoming Reception and meet this year's exhibitors, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
