Several Boston firms topped the list in the Boston Business Journal's survey of the best places to work in Massachusetts.
Bingham McCutchen LLP ranked fourth, while Ropes & Gray LLP secured the eighth best place to work in the survey, which included a variety of types of business, including high technology, marketing, health care, financial services and telecommunications.
Other law firms making the top 50 include Goulston & Storrs PC, Hale and Dorr LLP, Nixon Peabody LLP, Palmer & Dodge LLP and Wolf Greenfield & Sacks PC.
Brian B. Bixby, a partner at Burns & Levinson LLP, has been elected assistant treasurer of the Massachusetts Family and Probate Inn of Court, a scholarly organization that consists of judges, lawyers, assistant registers and law professors.
Bixby chairs the firm's Probate Litigation Group and also is a member of the Trusts and Estates and Divorce and Family Law groups. He concentrates his practice in all aspects of estate planning; fiduciary administration; probate court litigation; petitions, complaints, appeals, family law, guardianships and conservatorships; and representation of trustees, executors and beneficiaries.
