MBA General Counsel Martin Healy received one of the MBA's most prestigious honors during Annual Dinner 2005 when MBA President Kathleen M. O'Donnell presented him with the President's Award.

Healy, who has been serving as acting executive director for the past several months, was honored for his longstanding commitment and service to the MBA.

"He has guided the MBA since 1989," said O'Donnell. "He has helped us through every legislative battle, through difficult employment problems we have had and he has worked extremely well for all of the presidents of the Massachusetts Bar Association."

The President's Award is given to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the work of the MBA, to the preservation of MBA values, to the success of MBA initiatives and to the promotion of MBA leadership role within the legal community in Massachusetts.

"Marty is the voice for the legal community in Massachusetts," O'Donnell said. "He is very well respected at all levels of government and he makes it easy for us to meet with people from different backgrounds and different areas. He's very reasoned in his approach."
