MBA member Saraa Basaria of Todd & Weld LLP in Boston was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation.
The foundation is the charitable arm of SABA North America, focusing on developing and funding programs that support legal education, legal research and public interest employment that benefit the South Asian legal community and South Asian community as a whole. The foundation also attempts to encourage the involvement of South Asian attorneys in philanthropy.
Basaria is past president of SABA of Greater Boston, and she also serves on the Board of Directors of the MBA's Young Lawyers Division.
Basaria, an associate at Todd & Weld LLP, concentrates her civil litigation practice on commercial disputes, employment law, and personal injury matters.

Nancy Johnsen has been named of counsel to Laredo & Smith LLP in Boston.
Johnsen is a corporate attorney who represents businesses and entrepreneurs in connection with both operational and strategic legal matters. Her experience includes corporate law, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, fund management and formation, public company reporting, contracts, data privacy and security, and mediation and insolvency.
Johnsen works with early-stage, mid- and late-stage start-up companies, as well as established public and private companies. Over the span of her career, she has counseled clients across several industries, including non-profit, private equity, real estate, retail, restaurant, healthcare tech and technology.
