Featured CLE: Get tips on managing stress on March 10

Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020

MassBarEducatesSince the July 2019 report from the Supreme Judicial Court Steering Committee on Lawyer Well-Being was released, wellness and mindfulness have been top of mind. The report discussed the different reasons why attorneys enjoy the practice of law less than they had hoped when they entered the profession.

The practice of law has long had the reputation of being a stressful field of work entailing long hours, precision, and a heavy workload. Attorneys frequently reported that they felt stigmatized if they talked about the variety of stressors common in the legal profession, including the pace of work, feelings of isolation, secondary trauma, incivility and financial pressures.

In this program, you will learn about the impact of stress and anxiety, potential warning signs and practical management options. The panel will discuss available resources, mindfulness tools and techniques to reduce stress.

Attorneys are encouraged to ask questions of the expert panel.
