  • "In leading Mass. Bar Association, Hopkinton's Thomas Bond seeks to add diversity." MetroWest Daily News (Sept. 1). The newspaper ran a profile of new Massachusetts Bar Association President Thomas M. Bond, who discussed his goals for the year, which include strengthening diversity at the MBA.

  •  "Who's On the Move?" State House News Service (Aug. 31). State House News Service included an announcement about new Massachusetts Bar Association President Thomas M. Bond, which also mentioned his fellow 2021-22 MBA officers, including President-Elect Grace V.B. Garcia, Vice President Damian Turco, Treasurer Victoria Santoro Mair and Secretary Michael H. Hayden.
  • "Governor Baker getting what he wants from his Parole Board," Boston Globe (Aug. 29). A Boston Globe editorial that addressed the work and makeup of the state Advisory Board of Pardons cited the spring 2021 report from the MBA’s Clemency Task Force, which recommended expanding the board to nine members and called clemency process in Massachusetts “an underutilized tool.” Task Force member Patricia A. DeJuneas, who represented William Allen at a commutation hearing in June, was also quoted in the editorial.

  • "Business mixed with pleasure at annual bar association event," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (Aug. 30). The newspaper’s On the Town feature featured photos and a brief recap from the Hampden County Bar Association’s Annual Meeting on Aug. 12. Then-MBA President Denise I. Murphy is pictured along with MBA and HCBA member Tahira Amatul-Wadud, who received the MBA Community Service Award from Murphy, and HCBA President Thomas N. Wilson, who is also an MBA member.

Freitas, along with MBA members Hon. Jay D. Blitzman (ret.) and Jessica Berry, were quoted in an article about the impact that the Supreme Judicial Court’s decision in Care of Protection of Rashida will have in care and protection cases.

Bursztajn, a Viewpoint article, which discusses some commonly raised questions about conservatorships in light of the high-profile conservatorship situation involving pop star Britney Spears.
