Please join the Massachusetts Bar Association's Family Law Section as they focus on best appellate practices for domestic relations attorneys.
Joseph Stanton, clerk of the Appeals Court, will discuss some of the more procedural aspects of an appeal. Christina Paradiso, supervising attorney at Community Legal Aid, and Afton Templin, director of juvenile appeals at the Committee for Public Counsel Services, will provide tips for practitioners to avoid common appellate pitfalls. They will also discuss what type of oral advocacy they have found to be effective at the appellate level.
