Each week, eJournal highlights a wellness resource to bring attention to the helpful organizations, articles and websites that are available for members or anyone who may need assistance.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and rather than treating it as solely an individual's responsibility, it is important to promote and support mental health in the workplace as well. Some ways to promote positive mental health in the workplace are: create clear workplace guidelines for health and safety, establish an employee assistance program and talk about it frequently, reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues or concerns, provide supervisors and managers with mental health training, and create a positive work environment. Find additional wellness resources on the MBA's Health & Well-Being page, which was launched in April 2020 to support member wellness during COVID-19. It features helpful resources for coping with stress, anxiety, panic, substance use disorder and more during the pandemic, with links provided by the ABA Commission on Lawyers Assistance Program, as well as the MBA’s own Lawyer Well-Being Committee.
