Fisher Phillips has announced that Massachusetts Bar Association members Brian Coughlin and Tatiana Chiu have joined the firm’s Boston office, expanding its immigration practice on the East Coast.

Coughlin BrianCoughlin, who joins as partner, brings over a decade of experience in business immigration law to Fisher Phillips. He will work with corporate clients on immigration issues related to employment authorization, employee training and general enforcement, and regulatory compliance issues. Coughlin, who has worked at prominent domestic and global law firms, has extensive experience advising clients on immigration due diligence and risk management in connection with corporate mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and startups. He also regularly assists clients in the preparation of employment-based and family-based immigrant visa petitions, applications for U.S. lawful permanent residence, and all categories of nonimmigrant visa petitions.

She counsels clients on both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, best practices related to the Department of Homeland Security regulations, green card processes and requests for evidence. Chiu has experience advising clients from a variety of industries, including technology, business, consulting, life sciences and financial services.
