On Thursday, Jan. 27, starting at 11 a.m., the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) will co-sponsor a Talk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid to advocate for increased funding for civil legal services throughout the commonwealth. Traditionally known as the Walk to the Hill and attended by hundreds of lawyers at the State House, the annual event will be held virtually for a second consecutive year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to register.

Once again, the event will highlight the essential nature of civil legal aid and encourage members of the legal community to share that message with their legislators.

You can help the MBA build enthusiasm for Talk to the Hill by participating in the Equal Justice Coalition's (EJC's) #IWalkForJustice social media campaign. Follow these steps:

  1. Print out an “I Talk” placard.
  2. Write why you Talk to the Hill and take a photo with your placard.
  3. Share your photo on social media with the hashtag #IWalkforJustice. You can tag the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation on Twitter (@CivilLegalAid) or LinkedIn. You can also tag the EJC on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
  4. Or, you can email your photo here and it will be shared for you.

Talk to the Hill is sponsored by the MBA, EJC and Boston Bar Association.
