Hampden County 

O'Connor ANDREA M_compressed (002)MBA member Andrea Momnie O’Connor, a principal with the law firm of Hendel, Collins & O’Connor PC in Springfield, has been appointed to the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the District of Connecticut by the United States Trustee Program.

O’Connor previously clerked for the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court. She is a graduate of Western New England University, magna cum laude, and UConn, cum laude. O’Connor is an adjunct professor at Elms College, where she teaches legal research and writing.

Bixby_Brian_printMBA member Brian D. Bixby, a partner at Burns & Levinson LLP in Boston, has been named to the Massachusetts Clients’ Security Board, which works to preserve the public’s trust in the legal profession by reimbursing client-victims who have suffered financial losses due to misappropriations by Massachusetts lawyers.

Bixby is co-chair of Burns & Levinson's Private Client Group and chair of the Probate & Trust Litigation Group. His practice is focused on all aspects of estate planning, fiduciary administration, probate court litigation, and family law, and he often serves as an expert witness at trials.

Hilton & Bishop, a highly respected boutique law firm located in Falmouth, is seeking an experienced estate planning/estate and trust administration attorney. This is a partnership opportunity at a firm interested in attracting a self-motivated attorney who is dedicated to and enjoys the practice of law. 

Preferred candidates will have five years of legal experience in estate planning and administration, and familiarity with both federal and Massachusetts estate and gift tax planning. Knowledge of business law is a plus. Attorneys must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
